Claudia platform

The Claudia Platform is an advanced Service Management toolkit that allows service providers to dynamically control service provisioning and scalability in an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) Cloud. Through the TCloud API, Claudia also supports the provisioning of Platform-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).

Claudia manages services as a whole, controlling the configuration of multi-virtual machine components, virtual networks and storage support. Claudia optimizes their usage by dynamically scaling up/down services applying elasticity rules, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and business rules.

Claudia can deploy services between a public Cloud (Amazon, Flexiscale, GoGrid, among others) or a private Cloud using Virtual Infrastructure Manager, such as OpenNebula, Eucalyptus, vSphere, through a plug-in driver mechanism that orchestrates the virtual resource allocation. Hybrid Cloud schemas will be supported when the Federation module is implemented.

Claudia evolution is supported through Telefónica I+D involvement in R&D funded projects. In addition to RESERVOIR, Claudia is also deployed in NUBA, a Spanish Plan Avanz@ project on business-oriented Infrastructure-as-a-Service services for enterprise.
